Prepare two useful columns

Use a CSV with a header row, such as Month,Sales, followed by records like January,120. Keep the value column numeric; put currency symbols in the header rather than the cells.

Choose labels and values

Open CSV chart inside the chat and attach the file. Select the column to use for labels and the column to use for values. The file can contain up to 1,000 data rows.

Read the chart and statistics

Press Send. The browser calculates the sum, average, minimum, and maximum directly from valid numeric rows. The display shows up to 30 bars. Negative values are labeled and shown in a different color; the bar length represents magnitude.

Know which work uses AI

The chart and basic statistics are local calculations and do not consume AI requests. If you switch to Analyze data and ask for an interpretation, a bounded text excerpt is sent to the AI provider. Do not assume the model has read rows beyond that excerpt.

Verify before sharing

Check headers, missing values, and number formatting against the original file. Download or copy the findings you need, and retain your original CSV as the source.
