Choose a focused source

Start with the policy, SOP, or report that answers one specific question. Remove private information you do not need for the task. In the chat, choose Ask your documents and attach the file.

Check what was read

The browser extracts text from PDF and DOCX files. The workspace tells you if it has shortened the source. For longer documents, split the relevant section into a smaller file so the evidence you need is included. A scanned PDF with no selectable text needs OCR before this workflow.

Ask for evidence, not just an answer

Try: “According to the attached returns policy, who can approve a stock adjustment? Quote the supporting sentence, and say if the policy does not answer.” A narrow question is easier to check than a request to explain everything.

Review and follow up

Compare the answer with the original document. Ask about an ambiguity or a missing step. The model may be wrong, and the document may be incomplete or out of date. Keep a person responsible for decisions.

Keep a useful record

Download the conversation if you want to retain it. Attachments stay in page memory and need to be attached again after a refresh. The workspace does not create a permanent company knowledge base.
